02.27.15 Anchor Bank Blaine Names Corey Piekarski Bank Manager

St. Paul, MN, February 2015 — Anchor Bank Blaine has named Corey Piekarski as Bank Manager. Corey comes to Anchor with over 15 years of banking experience, most recently as a bank manager with another large Midwest bank.

02.06.15 Franxman Named Dakota County Exceptional Business Woman

St. Paul, MN, Jan. 2015 — Lisa Franxman, Senior Bank Sales Manager at Anchor Bank’s Farmington location, has been named 2015 Dakota County Exceptional Business Woman. First presented in 2010 by Dakota County Tribune and Sun ThisWeek, the annual award recognizes women who have distinguished themselves through Dakota County business and community involvement.

Lisa's commitment to people extends far beyond her work at Anchor,” Says Rhonda Mann, Market Sales Manager, Anchor Bank. “She desires to see her community thrive and has helped to break down barriers in the business banking industry, which has historically been male-dominated.”

Lisa will be a part of a panel discussion among this year’s winners, where they will be honored during a recognition breakfast, and profiled in an exclusive Feb. 20 print edition of SunThisWeek. In addition to the volunteer work she does alongside Anchor Bank, Lisa’s leadership role extends beyond the workplace. She supports the business community as a member the Farmington Business Association, and   volunteers to respond to the needs that challenge her community as a member of the Farmington Lions Club


02.03.15 Anchor Bank Names Kim Bundich Snelling Bank Manager

St. Paul, MN, February 2015 — Anchor Bank has named Kim Bundich as Snelling Bank Manager. Previously, Kim held a position as a personal banker at Anchor Bank St. Paul Park, and started her career in banking in 2008 as a teller supervisor.

“Kim is as active in her role upholding the tradition of Anchor’s customer-focused service as she is in her community, said Arleen Sullivan, Director of Community Banking at Anchor Bank. “All of this comes naturally to Kim. She’s an outgoing people-person and a vital asset to her entire team”.

As the Bank Manager for Anchor Bank Snelling, Kim manages a portfolio of accounts to ensure each individual is receiving the full breadth of financial services that Anchor has to offer. Kim assists with opening a new personal account, explaining the credit process to a new customer, and helping team members with a strong focus on customer service to build trusting relationships with every visitor to her bank.

Kim volunteers with a variety of non-profits in her community, including Sharing and Caring Hands, where she commits her time and resources towards making a difference in the lives of others.

02.03.15 Anchor Names Steve Dobin Vice President, Mortgage Lending

St. Paul, MN, February 2015 — Anchor Bank has named Steve Dobin as Vice President, Mortgage Lending. Previously, Steve served as a mortgage sales manager at a large national bank, where he was recognized for delivering superior customer service and creating a culture of collaboration and expertise.

01.30.15 Anchor Names Stephen Nesvig Senior VP, Business Banking

St. Paul, MN, January 2015 — Anchor Bank has named Stephen Nesvig as Senior Vice President, Business Banking. Stephen joined Anchor in 2009, most recently serving as vice president, commercial banking, and has been in the industry since 2002.

As Senior Vice President, Business Banking, Stephen is responsible for developing and maintaining new commercial relationships by effectively understanding the business needs of Anchor’s most complex customers. He works closely with clients to serve as a resource and an advocate. Partnering with team members to create a positive customer experience, Stephen is also responsible for proposing products and services that meet customers’ individual needs.

12.18.14 Anchor Names Daniel Lotts Vice President, Financial Advisor

St. Paul, MN, November 2014 — Anchor Bank has named Daniel Lotts as Vice President, Financial Advisor. Daniel joined Anchor Bank Apple Valley after spending seven years as a Staff Sergeant in the Air National Guard where he received extensive certification in emergency services.

“Daniel has the discipline from his military background to persist in the best interests of his clients,” said Arleen Sullivan, Director of Community Banking at Anchor Bank. “We are proud to add his talents to our team.”

In his role, Daniel helps investment clients understand their finances on a deeper level so they can continue to make smart decisions and have their money work harder for them. He takes a collaborative approach with customers to design a retirement plan that is obtainable and keeps in mind short and long-term goals.

Daniel is a member of the Prior Lake chapter of Business Networking International (BNI) and volunteers with Feed My Starving Children every year. He has his Series 7, Series 66 and insurance producer licenses. In the Air National Guard, Daniel was a firefighter and received extensive certification in emergency services.     

12.16.14 Folland Achieves Member of Appraisal Institute Accreditation

St. Paul, MN, December 2014 — Josh Folland, Manager of Real Estate Due Diligence at Anchor Bank, been awarded the prestigious MAI designation, the highest professional designation available to an appraiser. The MAI designation is held by appraisers who are experienced in the valuation and evaluation of commercial, industrial, residential and other types of properties, and advise clients on real estate investment decisions. Currently, about five percent of real estate appraisal professionals hold the MAI designation in Minnesota.

“By receiving the MAI designation, Josh has joined an elite group of appraisers who have met rigorous professional requirements and have demonstrated in depth knowledge, understanding and ability in the field,” says Margaret Murphy, Chief Credit Officer, Anchor Bank.

As Manager of Real Estate Due Diligence at Anchor Bank, Josh is responsible for ordering and reviewing appraisals, performing internal evaluations, and managing environmental due diligence. Not to mention his consultative role in helping relationship managers and customers navigate appraisal regulations and valuation issues. Prior to joining Anchor Bank, Josh started his career as a fee appraiser and eventually took a position with a commercial real estate developer and investor as an asset manager.

12.11.14 Anchor Bank Names Lance Jeppson VP, Commercial Banking

St. Paul, MN, December 2014 — Anchor Bank has named Lance Jeppson as Vice President, Commercial Banking. Lance has been in the banking industry since 2003 and previously held a position as a Personal Banker, Business Relationship Manager and Premier Banker/Vice President in charge of managing the experience of high net worth banking clients.  

“Lance’s skills — learned from the ground up in the industry — allow him to identify new opportunities for his clients and handle any obstacles they may encounter,” said Arleen Sullivan, Director of Community Banking at Anchor Bank. “We look forward to adding his energy and endurance to our team.”  

In his role, Lance provides assistance to clients who are seeking new business deposit strategies by effectively presenting the products and services of Anchor. He analyzes financial information, monitors business accounts and promotes our cash management products while building a strong rapport with clients.

Lance contributes to the Golden Gopher Fund at the University of Minnesota. He also holds Accident, Life and Health insurance licenses and his Series 6 and 63 securities licenses. As a sports enthusiast, Lance participates in marathons and takes pride in attending his nephew’s sporting events.


12.9.14 Anchor Announces Intention to Acquire Assets of Voyager Bank

St. Paul (Dec. 09, 2014) — Twin Cities-based Anchor Bank announced its plans for expansion into the southwest metro and Mankato markets with the execution of an agreement for the acquisition of substantially all of the operating assets and deposits of Eden Prairie-based Voyager Bank. The proposed acquisition coincides with Anchor’s strategy to expand its footprint, enter new markets, and increase its market share.

The addition of Voyager’s four bank locations in Eden Prairie, Mankato, Minnetonka, and Shakopee, allows Anchor to tap into the dynamic market potential of the southwest metro and Mankato community. Anchor has 16 other locations rooted in the Twin Cities, and recently celebrated the grand-opening of its new Wayzata bank location.

“Anchor and Voyager bankers share a strong reputation for putting the customer first; they listen to customers’ needs, offer relevant solutions, and they get it right the first time. I’m confident our teams will combine effectively to become even stronger,” says Carl Jones, CEO of Anchor Bank. “In the coming months we’ll be working together with Voyager to prepare for a successful closing and integration with Anchor. The acquisition is projected to close in the first or second quarter of 2015, subject to necessary approvals. A full conversion is expected to take place in June of 2015, at which time Voyager bank locations will convert to the Anchor name and begin to offer Anchor products and services.

On the transaction, Anchor Bank is being advised by River Branch Capital, as financial advisor, and Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg LLP, as legal counsel.  Voyager Bank is being advised by The Oak Ridge Financial Services Group, Inc., as financial advisor, and Siegel Brill PA, as legal counsel.

12.9.14 Krysia Moe Named 2014 Super Mortgage Professional

Each nominee participates in a rigorous screening process and is reviewed by a panel of industry experts graded on eight criteria: customer service; integrity; market knowledge; communication; closing preparation; finding the best rate; and overall satisfaction. The award is based on the recognition of the professional’s ability to serve customers with superior service through each stage of purchasing and ownership.

12.8.14 Anchor Names Keith Crep Snelling VP, Business Banking


St. Paul, MN, November 2014 — Anchor Bank has named Keith Crep as Vice President, Business Banking at their Snelling location. Keith started his banking career as an analyst at Anchor Bank in 2008 after spending 10 years as a residential mortgage broker.

12.1.14 Anchor Names Heather Bierbrauer Burnsville Bank Manager

St. Paul, MN, November 2014 — Anchor Bank has named Heather Bierbrauer as the Burnsville Bank Manager. She started her career in banking in 2000 and assisted with the opening of the Anchor Bank Burnsville location in 2007.

Heather is an active member of the Burnsville Chamber of Commerce, serving as a Chamber Ambassador and a member of the BITE of Burnsville Planning Committee. She is also a member of the Chamber’s Women Empowered group.

11.20.14 Anchor Names Katie Martin Vice President, Private Banking

St. Paul, MN, November 2014 — Anchor Bank has named Katie Martin Vice President, Private Banking at the Snelling location. Katie started her career in banking in 2012 as a Branch Manager for a large Midwest bank and was quickly named Senior Advisor to the Employee Engagement Committee before joining Anchor.

Katie is a Chanhassen High School DECA mentor and works with Women’s Advocates, Inc. in St. Paul. She also organized a home remodel project for transitioning veterans through the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans.

11.12.14 Anchor Names Karen Sullivan Lakeville Bank Sales Manager

St. Paul, MN, October 2014 — Anchor Bank has named Karen Sullivan as the Lakeville Bank Sales Manager. Karen has worked in personal banking since 2006 and offers extensive knowledge in leadership, management and customer service.

Karen is active in the Lakeville Chamber where she serves as an ambassador and a committee member for the Landscape and Home Expo. She helps with Pan-O-Prog, which is the City of Lakeville’s Summer Festival, and volunteers for 360 Communities, Junior Achievement and United Way.

11.12.14 Anchor Names Holly Schmidt Bank Manager of St. Paul Park

St. Paul, MN, November 2014 — Anchor Bank has named Holly Schmidt as the Bank Manager of Anchor Bank St. Paul Park. Schmidt has been working in the financial services industry since 2002 and joined Anchor in 2013 as a personal banker.

11.12.14 Anchor Names Tricia Schultz Bank Manager of Arden Hills

St. Paul, MN, November 2014 — Anchor Bank has named Tricia Schultz as the Bank Manager of Anchor Bank Arden Hills. Schultz has been working in the industry since 2007 and has received praise from customers who have said that her extraordinary efforts have made them into life-long customers.

07.08.14 Eric Britt named Market President, Commercial Banking

Anchor Bank has named Eric Britt as Market President, Commercial Banking. Britt, who joined Anchor in 2006, opened Anchor Bank Snelling location in 2007 and was previously a Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking Team Lead. He is stepping into the role most recently held by Arleen Sullivan, who has been named Director of Community Banking.

As a Market President, Britt will lead a team of dedicated commercial bankers to ensure the financial objectives of each customer are addressed by collaborating closely with Private Banking, Leasing and Cash Management specialists to provide a comprehensive set of solutions designed to match clients short-term needs and long-term vision for their companies and themselves.

06.05.14 Sarah Wiczek Joins Anchor Bank as Senior Vice President

Sarah Wiczek has joined Anchor Bank as the Senior Vice President, Private Banking. Wiczek has worked in the banking industry for 15 years, with a focus on client banking for the past nine years.

As a Private Banker at Anchor Bank, Sarah works in concert with a team of specialists for the benefit of business owners, professionals and high net worth individuals. This team helps to customize financial solutions based on the unique needs of our clients, geared toward the goals they have for their family and their legacy. She is also an active member in multiple nonprofit organizations that focus on children’s cancer research and community stabilization.


06.05.14 Charity Williams Joins Anchor Bank Apple Valley

Charity Williams has joined Anchor Bank as Vice President, Bank Manager for Anchor Bank Apple Valley. Williams has worked in the banking and financial industry since 2001 and has inspired several banking teams to exceed their goals and client expectations. 

She is an active member and volunteer for her church and regularly volunteers to feed and clothe the less fortunate. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida and is a Dale Carnegie Leadership Training graduate.



06.05.14 Lisa Franxman Rejoins Anchor Bank Farmington

Lisa Franxman has rejoined Anchor Bank to lead our Farmington location. Franxman has nearly 14 years of previous experience working at Anchor Bank in Farmington.

As the leader of Anchor Bank Farmington, Lisa will focus her time on working with the local business community to fully understand their unique needs, today and in the future. In addition she will oversee the day to day operations of the office.

Lisa is on the Board of Directors for the Dakota County Chamber, part of the local Grow Minnesota Committee, and, a member of the Farmington Lions Club. As a Farmington resident, she has a passion for the City of Farmington and is committed to the local business community.

05.30.14 Collins Named Director of Commercial & Private Banking

Anchor Bank has named Jim Collins as the Director of Commercial and Private Banking, effective May 2014. Collins joined Anchor in 2004 and most recently as the Director of Business Banking. He has since built a high performing team that is focused on serving the needs of their clients. In addition to expanding his role into private banking, Collins will oversee the new leasing and commercial real estate initiatives at Anchor Bank.

As the Director of Commercial and Private Banking, Collins will work closely with the Commercial Banking, Private Banking, Leasing and Cash Management leaders. His position will encourage highly customized solutions through increased service touches and support the values and promise of Anchor Bank

05.30.14 Sullivan Named Director of Community Banking

Anchor Bank has named Arleen Sullivan as the Director of Community Banking, effective May 2014. Sullivan has over 26 years of banking experience and has been with Anchor since 2003, most recently in the role of the President, Commercial Banking East Market.

As the Director of Community Banking, Sullivan will be working closely with the Business Banking, Investments, Personal Banking, SBA and Mortgage leaders. Her position will allow for an increase in the attention that Anchor Bank personal and business customers receive, leading to more efficient and effective financial solutions. The goal of this newly created position is to create greater customer satisfaction and stronger customer relationships.
